The dangers of Pokemon Go!

The legal repercussions of Pokemon Go, or in other words why its bad. there has been alot about pokemon go, people all over the world play it but is it really safe? Before you get caught up in the new craze.

there has been much information about the new game, it is there to get our worlds generation more active. On the news there was a report of people loitering around pokestops. When someone was playing the game and went to one of these stops they would get jumped and robbed. So is it really safe? My opinion is no, and there is much data to back it up.

On another note people are lazy, and because of this those who are and want to play the game are willing to do so while driving. There has been a multitude of cases that involve car crashes because people are trying to play it while they are driving. This is putting the player and those not associated with the game in harms way, but it doesn't end there.

I am a huge nerd, so I subscribe to game informer magazine. in the Nov issue 283 of 2016 there was more information released about the dangers of the game. since its release in july in New York 3,000 sex offenders are banned from playing the game, (because kids go to pokestops and other locations what can be found on the game) but that is new York, not the other states. There was a report published by state senators Diane Savino and Jeffrey Klein about Pokemon Go and sex offenders. They discovered that 73% of the registered sex offender addresses they checked were in close proximity to pokestops or the pokemon gyms. That means that 3 out of 4 of pokestops or gyms are near a sex offender address.

Pokémon Go currently has 500 million downloads, a staggering number for a game that was jus released just a few months ago. If all 500 million people go to a gym or pokestop then its safe to say that 3/4 of them will end up near a sex offender home, so there is a potential 365 million abductions/rapes, so ask yourself, is it really safe to let anyone play the game let alone your kids?
