Why do the 2016 candidates suck?

The reality is that being President isn't a very good job. You have many responsibilities but little real power.  To pass any laws, you have to work with over 500 other politicians, all of whom have their own agendas and most of whom are working against you.
You have to do a lot of work running the executive branch but most of it is ignored unless something bad happens and then you are blamed.
The press spends its time looking for your mistakes and asking you about every negative thing anyone ever said about you because controversy sells.
You are responsible for sending young Americans into danger and everyone else armchair quarterbacks everything you do. You have to deal with the other world leaders, all of whom have their own agendas.
No matter what you do, you have to expect that at least half of the country will think you are doing a bad job.

It doesn't surprise me that most smart people don't want this job.
